These Terms govern your use of MKWorld Strat, a community database of Mario Kart World shortcuts. By using the site or signing in, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who we are
MKWorld Strat is an unofficial, fan-made project run by a private individual. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo. Mario Kart, Mario Kart World, and related names and marks are trademarks of Nintendo, used here for identification only.
Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account or submit content. By using MKWorld Strat you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Accounts
You sign in through Google or Discord. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials with those providers secure.
User submissions
When you submit a shortcut, report, or other content, you agree that:
- You may link to any publicly available YouTube videothat genuinely demonstrates the shortcut. You must not knowingly link content that is unlawful, or that you know infringes someone else's rights.
- You retain ownership of the descriptions and metadata you contribute, and you grant MKWorld Strat a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and moderate that content within the service.
- Your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge and complies with these Terms.
Moderation
Submissions from newer members are reviewed before publication; established contributors may publish directly. We may review, edit the categorization of, reject, archive, or remove any content, and may suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion. Shortcuts that no longer work are archived rather than deleted.
Reporting and takedowns
You can report a problem with any published shortcut from within the site. If you are a rights holder (including the owner of a linked video) and want content removed, contact us at mkworld.strat@gmail.com and we will act on valid requests promptly.
No warranty
MKWorld Strat is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. Shortcuts are community-submitted and may not work in your game version or setup; we do not guarantee their accuracy, safety, or results. Linked videos are hosted by YouTube and subject to YouTube's own terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher of MKWorld Strat is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. This does not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded under French law.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
